Carole Radziwill Thinks Love Smells Like Fresh Cut Grass

April 8, 2019

Call it the Proust effect: Memories are often triggered by smells. Scientific studies confirm that out of all the senses, smell triggers the best recall. In Scent Memories, the Cut asks people about the scents they associate with different times in their lives.

Carole Radziwill Doesn't Care If She's Your Favorite Real Housewife

June 11th, 2018

Carole Radziwill has two types of fans: Those who know her as a cool, unusually articulate Bravo star, and those, often of a different generation, who know her as the three-time Emmy, Peabody award-winning journalist and best-selling author.

Carole Radziwill on Being The Real Housewives of New York’s Resident Politico

April 5th, 2017

In 1986, long before Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise, Carole Radziwill started her career as an intern at ABC News. Soon after that, she became a reporter for Peter Jennings’s documentary unit, a gig that led her from a shoe-box studio on York Avenue (“I lived on Cup O’Noodles and hard-boiled eggs”) to Cambodia, Haiti, and India, where she covered American foreign policy.

One dog. three "co-parents." what could go wrong?

When RJ King, Tripp Swanhaus and Carole Radziwill decided to share a miniature goldendoodle last year, friends discouraged it and scratched their heads. They worried that a puppy would become neurotic or confused about which of the three apartments on different floors in the SoHo building where they live would be her real home. And who would be the real boss? Mr. King, a model? Mr. Swanhaus, a marketer? Or Ms. Radziwill, a Real Housewife on TV and real author?

THE MOTHER OF ALL HOUSEWIVES

It all began with “An American Family.” Without the dysfunctional Louds and the riveting real-life drama of their household, televised by PBS in 1973, there may never have been an MTV “Real World,” any “Real Housewives,” “Bachelors” or other inescapable figures from the reality TV landscape.

How Publishing a book is like giving birth to a baby

I'm not going to lie. One of my guiltiest pleasures is the "Real Housewives of New York City," and I've pretty much been chomping at the bit to write about these madcap ladies for five seasons running now.

But alas, I cover parenting news, and it's been hard to mine the Bravo franchise for any good leads.Until finally, thankfully, last week, one of my very favorite 'housewives,' newcomer Carole Radziwill-- a former ABC News Emmy-winning journalist, New York Times best-seller, Kennedy cousin in-law and always-fabulous girl-about-town -- went and ruffled a few parenting feathers.
